Hotel Streklhof

we spent three nights at hotel streklhof and had friendly contact with their staff members via email before our stay because we had to shorten our stay unfortunately. we did have a well designed room with a balcony overlooking the garden area and the alps. bathing area was well sized and even offered a little radio. would have been even nicer to have a rain shower due to the huge space the shower had. also, a small shelf space inside would have been perfect. unfortunately, our room did not have a coffee machine and also not a water kettle, but a small fridge - i think at this price range a coffee machine should be standard. the hotel offers a welcoming spa area and a well sized outside pool (smaller one inside). there are also lots of loungers around. they offer a five course menu in the evening, where you can chose your favorites during breakfast. we had no problems as veggies, but i guess they are not totally prepared for vegans. the food tasted fresh and was overall delicious, although we missed the little extra punch. although i liked the salad bar a lot! breakfast offers all that you need. one aspect stood out for me - i think that they are using instant coffee for their black coffee, which i didn’t like - but, correct me please if i am wrong. besides that, we did enjoy breakfast and dinner. good things to know: your stay includes the wörthersee plus card, which comes with free public transport and lots of price reductions for all the things to do at wörthersee.

Unfortunately only passing through for one night. I say unfortunately because due to lack of time we couldn't stay longer in this wonderful place 🤩 Beautiful hotel in a great location. The owner is absolutely a special person ❤️ and her team welcomed us in a wonderful way. The beautiful room, with a breathtaking view, a fabulous indoor pool 🤩 We had dinner there 🤩 A fantastic dinner from a starred chef, excellent traditional dishes! In short, love at first sight and it will remain one of our favorite destinations in Austria.
